The "36" is the grade, so that's like saying "Grade 36 Grade 50". A lot of the A36 products may run well over 36ksi yield, but there's no guarantees. A lot of the A36 products may also be dual/triple spec materials with SA36, A709, etc.
A572 grade 50 or A709 grade 50 steel, what is the A709 grade 50 steel is the bridge steel specification and A572 grade 50 steel is the building steel specification. A709 grade 50 steel was deveoped for structures such as bridges with high live load to dead load ratios and repitive loading cycles. The chemistries of A572 grade 50 and A709 grade 50 steel are identical. ASTM is careful to keep A709 grade 50 synchronized with its equivalent non-brige
ASTM A709 Grade 50W equal grade are EN10155 :S355K2G1W,NFA 35-502E 36 WB 4 .A709 Grade 50W is the specification used for steel plate used in the manufacture of bridges. BEBON can supply the stock steel grade A 709 Grade 50W Weathering Steel
ASTM A572 Grade 50, Type 2 A709 Grade 50 AASHTO ASTM A572 Grade 50, Type 2 A709 Grade 50 AASHTO M270 Used in Bridges, Buildings, Construction Equipment Machinery, Transmission Towers, Truck Parts, Towers, and Freight Cars. It is a higher yield and tensile strength than A36. Most of our stock is already charpy impact tested and suitable for galvanization.

ASTM A709 Steel, grade 50 and 50W, 100 mm Categories:Metal; Ferrous Metal; Alloy Steel; Low Alloy Steel; ASTM Steel; Carbon Steel; Low Carbon Steel. Material Notes:High strength, low alloy steel:Vendors:No vendors are listed for this material.
ASTM Weathering Steel Specifications Central Steel ServiceASTM A709-50Wis a standard specification for structural steel in bridges. ASTM A709-50W covers high strength, low allow steel structural shapes, plates and bars. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of this steel in most environments is substantially better than carbon steel with or without copper addition.
Grade 50 Floor Plate Steel - US 4-Way Safety Plate Steel Grade 50 steel is a high-strength low alloy steel with a minimum yield strength of 50 ksi and minimum tensile strength of 65 ksi. Grade 50 contains more alloying elements than a plain carbon steel and has a greater resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
ASTM A709-01 first added grade HPS 50W. This high performance bridge steel has the identical chemistry as HPS 70W. It will most often be produced by as-rolled or control-rolled practices. ASTM A709 also allows it to be Thermo-Mechanical Controlled Processed (TMCP), with or without accelerated cooling, normalized, quenched
M270 vs. A709:Grade Comparison Leeco Steel, LLCOct 13, 2020 · Both M270 and A709 have weathering grades represented by a W, as with A709 Grade 50W which contain additional alloys that help them better endure extreme weather conditions. A709 also has high-performance standard (HPS) grades, which offer a balance of strength, weldability, corrosion resistance and ductility.
SteelWise Do you 992 - AISCsteel, grade ASTM A709 Grade 50S. The inclusion of a maximum yield strength and a maximum yield-to-ten-sile strength ratio assures material ductility, particularly important in high-seismic applications (when R is greater than 3). Inelastic deformations in beams and column panel zones, such as the special moment frame joint
